FOL sends $28 a month to Compassion International for the support of:
Patricio David Aguilar Burga, born Jan. 11, 1995. He lives with his parents and five siblings in Ecuador. His parents are farmers, and have difficulty providing for the needs of their family.

Because of our sponsorship, Patricio has new opportunities to learn and grow physically, mentally and spiritually. Our sponsorship provides educational assistance, basic medical and dental care, social activities, opportunities for community service and vocational and spiritual training. He attends an evangelical church where he attends Bible classes and vacation Bible School.

FOL has been sponsoring him since Dec., 2000.

Greg and Debbie Thayer, Daniel and Abby:

Were with Mission to the Americas for their first term in Mazatlan, Mexico. Now working with Connecting Point Ministry. Their goal is to train national leaders and help start new churches. Greg works with men in the Mazatlan Sinaloa area who are pastors in training. They work at mission churches started by small group studies in homes. Greg works with these men to establish the church in the community. Another goal is to start a Bible Institute to assist in training people for ministry.

Presently they live in Tempe. Greg goes to Mexico about every other month. He is also writing training materials. Debbie is an ESL teacher at Santan K-8 in Chandler. Daniel and Abby are attending schools in Tempe.

Mike and Sherri Bedient work with Navigators. They were stationed in Pushkin, Russia for about 7 years, and are now stationed in Tempe. Their main ministry at this time is recruiting people for short terms with Navigators in the Southwest area of the U.S. Right now their big emphasis is on getting a team to go to Pushkin next summer. Many will be from Bethany.

They have three children: Sara, a senior in high school this year, Rebecca is 15, and Michael will be 13 in December.
