1. Never forget the inexpressible joy that you felt when you first accepted Christ in your life and how you recognized the change, even when others may have had their initial doubts.

29. If we liken the banquet tables on a cruise ship to the answers to prayer, but we're below deck with spiritual sea sickness, the last thing we want is spiritual food.

31. The biblical symbol for man is wood. Jesus' profession was that of a carpenter. As we know, a carpenter's goal (purpose) is to make useful things out of wood.
32. God uses smaller judgements in our lives to get our attention (when we're involved in sin) so He can hold back on greater judgement.
33. It's not the short term wonders that should impress us but rather the long term fidelity that God grants us.
34. The power (and result) of greed often demands more from us than it is ever capable (or willing) to return.
